Life coaching is a process in which a coach helps individuals to identify their goals, overcome obstacles, and make positive changes in their lives.
In a life coaching session, you can expect to discuss your goals, challenges, and strategies for overcoming obstacles. Your coach will provide guidance, support, and accountability to help you achieve your goals.
A life coach uses techniques such as, the GROW Model to help clients define goals, the Cognitive Behavior Coaching (CBC) technique to identify negative thoughts and patterns and other techniques centered around behavior modification, confidence-building and problem-solving.
The length of a life coaching program depends on the individual and their goals. Some programs may last a few months, while others may last a year or more.
There are several differences but, the main distinction between a life coach and a therapist is that a life coach cannot diagnose or provide treatment for mental health conditions.
Life coaching encourages clients to focus on goal-setting, personal development, and self-fulfillment.
Though there is no national or state requirement to be certified, we can proudly say that we are! We have taken the time to learn the best up-to-date techniques and gain the knowledge necessary to serve our clients the best that we can!
We happily accept all clients ages 18 and older, regardless of sex, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, etc. We can accept clients younger than 18 (13-17 years old) however, parental consent and participation is required. Please reach out for more details.
